SMA’s Third-Term Push Gains Momentum as Bida, Gbako Convoy Storms Katcha

The streets of Katcha came alive on campaign day as a massive convoy from Bida and Gbako rolled in, carrying thousands of supporters who turned out to rally behind Hon. Saidu Musa Abdul, popularly known as SMA, in his bid for a third term in the Federal House of Representatives. What began as a journey across two local governments ended as a single, resounding message from the Bida/Gbako/Katcha federal constituency: SMA deserves another term.

The convoy moved like a moving festival of hope, with cars, motorcycles, and chants stretching for kilometers. Supporters waved banners and sang songs of appreciation, not for promises made, but for projects delivered. For many in the crowd, this was not just a campaign stop. It was a homecoming of sorts, where people from Bida and Gbako came to personally vouch for a representative who has shown up for all three LGAs without playing favorites.

In Katcha, the reception was warm and unmistakable. Market women, youth groups, traditional leaders, and community elders gathered to receive the delegation, their faces reflecting a mix of pride and expectation. Speakers took turns recounting how SMA’s intervention had touched schools, health centers, roads, and water projects across the constituency. The mood was clear: continuity matters when development is finally reaching the grassroots.

Hon. Saidu Musa Abdul has built his reputation on visible constituency projects that speak directly to the needs of his people. In Bida, Gbako, and Katcha, classrooms have been renovated, boreholes drilled, and empowerment programs rolled out for women and youth. His approach has been practical rather than performative — focusing on projects that improve daily life and create opportunities where they were once scarce.

The momentum of the day went beyond politics. It felt like a community affirming its own progress. Elders noted that SMA’s accessibility and consistency have set him apart, while younger supporters spoke of a representative who listens and acts. For a constituency that has often felt overlooked, that kind of representation has become rare and valuable.

As the rally drew to a close, the message from the crowd was simple and unified: the work is not finished, and SMA is the man to finish it. With Bida and Gbako standing firmly behind him and Katcha opening its arms in support, Hon. Saidu Musa Abdul’s third-term campaign is moving with a force that looks less like a political event and more like a people’s mandate in motion.
