12 Yeras ago, the Etsu Nupe and chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar conferred the title of Makaman Nupe to Alhaji Dalhatu Aliyu Makama 3 months after the passing away of Alhaji Shehu Musa and turbaned 27th March 2010. Alhaji Dalhatu succeeds his uncle, the late Alhaji Shehu Ahmadu Musa, a former secretary to the Government of the Federation under former President Shehu Shagari's administration and one time chairman of the National Population Commission.
