12 Yeras ago, the Etsu Nupe and chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar conferred the title of Makaman Nupe to Alhaji Dalhatu Aliyu Makama 3 months after the passing away of Alhaji Shehu Musa and turbaned 27th March 2010.

Alhaji Dalhatu succeeds his uncle, the late Alhaji Shehu Ahmadu Musa, a former secretary to the Government of the Federation under former President Shehu Shagari's administration and one time chairman of the National Population Commission. Who died 2009. May Allah grant him peace to Aljannah. Aameen
