Ahmed Haruna Tswata is a journalist, publisher and politician. He hails from Mokwa town in Niger State. In this interview, he bares his mind on Hon. Umar Bago's chances at the governorship elections and why he is the best candidate for the position. 


TMG> What is the name of your magazine and what is its focus?

AHT> My magazine is called Fortune World Magazine and it covers all spheres of life- entertainment, politics etc. I’m also a blogger and into business, waiting for time to hit it big in business... lol


TMG> You have been promoting RT Hon. Umaru Bago. Why is he the best choice?

AHT> Since his tenure at the National Assembly, his simplicity and approach to life have attracted me to him.


TMG> Why do you think the people of Niger state should vote Bago as the next governor of Niger State?

AHT> His focus and determination to achieve goals are major factors. He is well-determined and ready for the job. In him, I see a better Niger State; a Niger state of our dreams. When Bago wants something done, he sets his priorities right to achieved them. That is the main reason why I know he will succeed as Niger State governor- his blueprint and vision are what the state is in dire need of.

I trust and believe if Bago is elected as Niger governor he will take the state to greater heights.


TMG> Do you think he has the required experience to manage the state?

AHT> As a former banker that rose to managerial level and an astute lawmaker for twelve years, he understands what governance is. With his experience as a legislator at the National Assembly he has the knowledge of how a government is run, so he is not a novice. The legislative and executive arms of government are like twins, so, I can confidently tell you that Bago has the required experience to govern Niger State.


TMG> What do you think his chances of winning the election are?

AHT> Bago coming to contest for Niger State governor can be compared to Buhari’s coming in 2019.

Bago is like an institution in Niger State, he is well loved, he is very popular and well accepted. His chances of winning are well above 80% and by Allah’s grace, he shall emerge the next governor of Niger State.


TMG> Tell us more about Bago's personality?

AHT> He is an achiever, a goal getter. He is humble and very generous.


TMG> What is your advice to the people of Niger State on 2023 general elections? 

AHT> I want the people of Niger State to continue to have faith in APC, as the coming of RT Hon Umaru Bago will change a lot of things for better. His aspiration is for the betterment of people of Niger state. Let us vote Bago for a better Niger State..
