The shortage of qualified healthcare workers, with only 1.95 per 1,000 citizens, highlights a systemic issue that needs to be addressed. Maternal mortality rates in Nigeria are alarmingly high, contributing to 19% of global maternal deaths. These grim statistics serve as a wake-up call for the nation to prioritize healthcare reform.
