Amid Rising Prices and Insecurity, Nigerians Lament Over Unfulfilled Promises of President Tinubu


Nigerians are disillusioned by the unfulfilled promises of President Tinubu less than a year in power and are calling for tangible solutions to the pressing issues of escalating prices, insecurity, electricity distribution, and infrastructural development. It remains to be seen whether President Tinubu can deliver on his pledge to lead Nigeria to a better future. Some said, state's governors are making strides in improving the lives of their citizens unlike federal government.

1. Abdulahi Abubakar, a civil servant in Abuja, expressed his disappointment with President Tinubu's administration, stating, "We were promised a better future, but all we see are skyrocketing prices and insecurity. We need real solutions, not empty words."

5. Chukwuemeka Nwosu, a resident of Imo, highlighted the lack of infrastructural development, stating, "The state of our roads and other basic amenities is disgraceful. President Tinubu needs to invest in infrastructure to improve the quality of life for all Nigerians."


6. Bola Adesina, a journalist in Abuja, questioned President Tinubu's previous achievements as Governor of Lagos State, stating, "Is President Tinubu the same visionary leader we saw in Lagos? It seems like he underestimated the challenges Nigeria faces. Nigerians deserve transparency and accountability in his administration."


7. Aisha Musa, a 35-year-old businesswoman from Kano, expressed her disappointment with President Tinubu's administration, stating "We were promised a better economy, but the prices of foodstuffs are skyrocketing. It's becoming increasingly difficult to afford basic necessities."


8. Oluwafemi Adebanjo, a 28-year-old student from Ibadan, voiced his concerns about the alarming insecurity in the country. "The killings, kidnappings, and terrorism have become a daily reality for many Nigerians. It's heartbreaking to see the country descending into chaos."


9. Yahaya Alhassan, a 40-year-old civil servant from Jigawa, criticized the lack of progress in electricity distribution under President Tinubu's leadership. "We were hopeful for improved infrastructure, but the power situation has only gotten worse. It's frustrating to experience constant power outages."


10. Samuel Okonkwo, a 50-year-old engineer from Delta, emphasized the absence of significant infrastructural development at the federal level. "It's disheartening to see the lack of progress in our roads, bridges, and public facilities. It seems like we're stuck in the same place."
