Nigeria Government at a Crossroads: What Can Be Done Differently for the Happiness of its Citizens?

The recent removal of oil subsidy and the potential removal of electricity distribution subsidies have left many Nigerians reeling. With 90% of the population living in poverty, the government's decisions have raised concerns about the welfare of its citizens. Many are questioning whether the few wealthy and powerful individuals in the country are taking advantage of the situation, leaving the majority to suffer.

It is imperative for Nigeria's leaders to recognize their responsibility for the welfare of their citizens. The ongoing oppression of the impoverished and the growing disparity between the wealthy and the less fortunate cannot continue. A society lacking a middle class, with only extremes of wealth and poverty, is not sustainable and hinders opportunities for personal and collective growth. The widening wealth gap is a troubling sign for the nation's future. It is crucial for Nigeria to address this issue and develop solutions that benefit the entire population, rather than favoring a privileged few. The current state of affairs is unsustainable, and meaningful change is necessary to ensure a more equitable and prosperous future for all Nigerians.

The alarming increase in crime and social unrest is a clear indication of the frustration and desperation felt by the citizens. It is incumbent upon the government to address the root causes of this unrest and to strive for a more equitable and just society.

As Nigeria stands at this crucial juncture, there is an urgent need for a change in approach. Our leaders must prioritize the needs of the people and work towards a fair and prosperous future for all. It is not too late to make amends and steer the country towards a path of progress and prosperity. The time for action is now.

We urge our leaders, including influential figures such as Tinubu our President, to act with wisdom and compassion. The well-being of the people who put their trust in the government should be the top priority. Let us steer Nigeria towards a future where all citizens are treated with dignity and respect, and where the nation can truly flourish. This is our collective prayer for a better Nigeria, and we do not intend on relinquishing hope for a brighter future.
