Aisha Imam is a dedicated individual with a passion for raising awareness and promoting positive values within her community. Currently pursuing a degree in counseling psychology at Ibrahim Babangida Badamasi University Lapai (Ibbul), Aisha holds a National Certificate in Education (N.C.E) and is committed to furthering her education and skills in this field.

As the Founder and CEO of Aisha Talk Show, she has embarked on a mission to create awareness in Nupe land, ensuring that people are well-informed about societal events and equipped to represent their heritage with integrity. Through her show, she conducts insightful interviews with a diverse range of guests, including traditional title holders, politicians, celebrities, and other notable figures.

Aisha's show is a platform where important discussions are conducted in both Nupe and English languages, making it accessible to a wider audience. TMG: What sparked your interest in New Media for the Nupe Talk Show?

- Its something I am passionate about due to the decay in our society and to enlighten and educate people.


TMG: Can you describe your Talk Show platform and when it was established?

- My talk show platform is a space where we discuss real-life events in our society, invite guests to talk about current events and trending topics, and provide solutions to the needs of vulnerable people. My talk show program will be celebrating its one-year anniversary next month.


TMG: Did you undergo formal training or attend any special school? What is the experience like being a live show presenter?

- Yes, I underwent formal training to gain more knowledge and understanding. Being a live show presenter brings me joy as someone who developed a passion for it. However, it's a challenging experience because as a live show presenter, you need to be well-prepared and informed about current issues and be creative.


TMG: Your Talk Show predominantly uses Nupe language. How have you integrated modern tools to cater to your tribal audience?

- The world is evolving, and we are in a technological era that makes communication very easy.


TMG: What awareness are you aiming to raise among your viewers from Nupe Land?

- I am currently raising awareness among my viewers in Nupe land to keep them informed about current events in our society, encourage them to be upright, and be good ambassadors of Nupe land.


TMG: How do you communicate with viewers who speak different languages to help them understand the content of your show?

- We have been receiving requests from other languages to host our programs in English, the official language, which is why we usually mix our programs in Nupe and English. However, we are working on balancing our program so that all languages can understand our message.


TMG: What kinds of individuals do you typically interview?

- I have interviewed various individuals, including traditional titleholders, politicians, celebrities, and others.


TMG: How does your media platform consistently attract guests for interviews?

- Securing guest interviews can be challenging, but our relationships and connections have made it easier for us to secure interviews on a daily basis.


TMG: What aspect of your show do you enjoy the most, and how do you feel when conducting interviews with your guests?

- The most rewarding aspects of our show is the positive impact it has had on people's lives and the positive feedback we have received. I feel great, fulfilled, and honored when interviewing my guests.


TMG: Is presenting challenging, and how do you engage with your followers effectively?

- Being a presenter can be very challenging due to criticism, poor network connections, and other obstacles. Social media and technology have made it easier for our message to reach our followers.


TMG: How do you assess your work, and what feedback do you receive from your viewers?

- Being consistent with great ideas, I have received positive and encouraging feedback from my viewers and followers.


TMG: What are the goals and objectives of your Talk Show?

- The aims and objectives of my talk show are simply to contribute to building a better society.


TMG: What plans do you have for expanding your platform in the coming years?

- Future plans for our platform expansion is across Nigeria and is to help reducing unemployment and educate more people.


TMG: How do you keep yourself informed about new trends to enhance your skills?

- I educate myself about new trends through extensive research.


TMG: Can you share a memorable day in your career that you'll always remember?

- One memorable day in my career was when a guest I interviewed generously gave me a significant amount of money to show support and appreciation for how I hosted the program.


TMG: What do you find to be the most challenging aspect of your show?

- Network issues can be a challenge.


TMG: What are the major challenges that individuals in similar shows like yours face?

- Some of the biggest challenges for people in similar shows like ours include financial limitations, competition, criticism, and more.


TMG: What do you do differently to ensure that you maintain quality as a presenter for the public?

- The key thing I do differently is always being authentic and unique.


TMG: Who are your role models and sources of motivation in the TV show industry?

- My role models are Hadiza Gabon and Blessing CEO.


TMG: What is an accomplishment in your career that you are particularly proud of?

- Having a dream show room become a reality was a memorable moment.


TMG: Describe your management style and how you interact with your colleagues?

- We work as a unified team, like one family, to accomplish our tasks.


TMG: What are three strengths that you possess as a presenter?

- Three strengths I consider as a presenter are confidence, passion, and preparation in handling questions.


TMG: How do you encourage others to pursue independence in any profession?

- To encourage others to be independent in any profession, I suggest being determined to be self-reliant and reach for greatness, being hardworking, and aiming high.


TMG: Aside from being a presenter, how do you balance schooling or work, and how do you manage them differently?

- Besides being a presenter, I am involved in business and pursuing education simultaneously, balancing to avoid conflicts.


TMG: How do you spend your free time, and do you have opportunities to socialize?

- During my free time, I spend time with family and friends and also use some of it for research. I am a social person.
