Early Life and Education
Hon. Manko's educational background is a solid foundation for his future endeavors. He attended Ibrahim Tako Model Primary School Bida from 1981 to 1986 and later proceeded to Muhammadu Kobo Secondary School Lapai, where he obtained his SSCE/WAEC. He furthered his education at the Federal University of Technology Minna, graduating with a degree in Estate Management in 2008. During his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year, he served in Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State.
Leadership and Politics
Hon. Manko's foray into leadership began as a university student, where he was actively involved in student politics. He was elected the pioneer President of the National Association of Nupe Students (NANUS) FUT Minna Chapter between 2001-2006 and later became the Director of Welfare, National Association of Niger State Students (NANISS) - National Headquarters. His leadership skills and dedication to public service earned him the opportunity to serve as a Councilor representing Masaba ward of Bida Local Government Area from 2008 to 2011. He was subsequently nominated as the Speaker of the Local Government Legislative Council and later appointed as Supervisory Councilor in-charge of Primary Health Care.
Appointments and Achievements
Hon. Manko's appointments and achievements are a testament to his capabilities and dedication to service. He was appointed Secretary, Usman Zaki Foundation Governing Board by His Royal Highness, Dr. Yahaya Abubakar (Etsu Nupe) in January 2013. He also served as Special Assistant to Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu, former Governor of Niger State, in July 2013. Hon. Manko has been recognized with traditional titles, including 'Dan Baura Nupe' in 2015 and 'Dan Maje Nupe' in June 2019, by Etsu Nupe, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Abubakar CFR.
Party Politics and Electoral Aspirations
Hon. Manko has been an active participant in party politics, having contested for various positions, including the local government chairmanship and state house of assembly membership. He has been a member of different political parties, including the People's Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressive Congress (APC), and Action Democratic Party (ADP). In 2019, he contested for the Chairmanship position under the Action Democratic Party (ADP).
