There's Nothing Wrong With Rewarding Yourself After Working Hard- Oluwasanmi Adeoye

Oluwasanmi Adeoye is a Beautician and CEO Feyisoge. The undergraduate of Agricultural Economics at Obafemi Awolowo University has her base both in Lagos and Osun state.

TMG> Why did you choose to become a beautician?

Oluwasanmi> When I started out, it was basically for my face but after my first training my love for it grew and I decided to go into it professionally.

TMG> What excites you most about the world of beauty?

Oluwasanmi> What excites me about the beauty world is makeup. You know, it's so intriguing how a person can go from zero to a hundred. Also, new makeup products excite me a whole lot! I basically spread my new haul on my bed and sometimes sleep like that till the next day before packing them up!

TMG> What makes you happy as a beautician?

Oluwasanmi> Positive reviews from my clients. Referrals are also a sign that I'm doing something right and that feeling is satisfying.

TMG> What three words would you use to describe yourself while working on a customer?

Oluwasanmi> hmmm...... Three words. . . okay, AT MY BEST!

TMG> What is your philosophy towards work?

Oluwasanmi> Work now, play later. Pay now, play later.

Basically, work now while you still can and there's nothing wrong with rewarding yourself.

TMG> What was your career path? How did you get from being a Banker to a Beautician?

Oluwasanmi> I plan on practising what I'm studying (Agricultural economics) in school. Having one source of income is not wise and not enough. So there's nothing wrong with being a farmer and a makeup artist.

TMG> What motivates you most about the business?

Oluwasanmi> PROGRESS! Not being where I used to be is enough motivation, having in mind there's a goal to attain. My thirst to be a better business person is what drives me.

TMG> How many employees report to you and how efficient are they?

Oluwasanmi> For now, I work alone because my business is still growing. Sometimes I get really tired and can't respond to messages or edit pictures. I just trust God for strength.

TMG> In case of problems, do you seek for help from another professional?

Oluwasanmi> If it's something I can handle, I treat it with utmost professionalism but if it's not a situation I can handle, I seek help from another professional.

TMG> What do you do to stay educated about new trends?

Oluwasanmi> Thank God for social media- I watch tutorial videos, snippets on Insta stories, YouTube has also been of help. I read online too and I have intelligent conversations with other professionals.

TMG> What are your challenges and how do you intend to handle them?

Oluwasanmi> - Funds basically. I plan on working on myself more so I can review my prices and save more.

TMG> What makes your work more unique than others?

Oluwasanmi> Hmm.... Feyisoge is different. Right from the point I wanted a name, I wanted something different and I got the name. I learnt from four people and I've been able to combine all I've been taught to come up with something different.

TMG> Tell us about an accomplishment that you are most proud of in your career?

Oluwasanmi> One is how far Feyisoge has come in such a short time. Also, when I got the award of the creative person of the year.

TMG> Tell us about your management style and how you handle your Customers?

Oluwasanmi> I oversee every activity that goes on with my brand. Although I consult my manager, I relate personally with my clients and take bookings myself.

TMG> Tell us something you would like to learn or improve upon as a Beautician?

Oluwasanmi> Everything! Because we don't stop learning in this profession. So, I want to improve on anything possible every opportunity I get.

TMG> What way can you encourage other youths to be self dependent?

Oluwasanmi> Be you! Do you! Do what only you can do to make things happen. Invest in yourself.

TMG> What do you do with your free time?

Oluwasanmi> I sleep, chat with a few friends, instagram, eat and surf the internet.
