Mohammed Kudu Ibrahim was born on Thursday the 1st of September 1960 in Bida, Niger State, to the late pioneer northern educationist, politician and philanthropist Alhaji Ibrahim Kuchi, and Hajiya Asma’u Ibrahim Kuchi. He is an indigene of Kuchi in the Lapai Local Government Area of the state.
For his education, Mr. Ibrahim Kuchi had his primary education at various missionary institutions straddled across the northwest and north-central parts of Nigeria. He was at different times a pupil of St. Michael’s primary school Kontagora, Holy Trinity Primary School Kano, and the Kpege Primary School in Mokwa, Niger State.
Further more, he attended the famous Government College, Bida from 1973 – 1978. Between 1978 and 1981, Mohammed Kudu Ibrahim obtained the National Certificate in Education (NCE) from the College of Education, Minna, Niger State. In 1986, he obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Kean University of New Jersey, USA. He returned to Nigeria and in 1991 obtained an Msc. In Political Science from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.

On his Career, Mr. Ibrahim commenced his public service career with the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation on the 5th of March, 1990. He was instrumental to the take-off of the Communications and Public Affairs Unit of the Corporation from 1990 – 1997.
He also served in the Administration Department between 1998 and 2007. Mr. Kudu Kuchi served as the Head of the Corporation’s Process Improvement Unit from 2008 and 2013 where he worked with the project team to facilitate the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all the Departments and Autonomous Units in the Corporation along with the Service Level Agreements (SLAs). He also served as acting Head of the Strategy Development Department of the Corporation for one year.
Mohammwd Ibrahim Kuchi was the Head of Procurement Services in the NDIC where he Coordinated and supervised the general procurement initiatives of the Corporation in line with the extant provisions of the Nigeria Public Procurement Act, 2007 and extant regulations. His major achievements in the period included:
> Restructuring of the Procurement Unit with clear delineation of functions and responsibilities.
> Facilitation of capacity building to ensure proficiency in the understanding and interpretation of the Public Procurement Act among members of staff.
> Streamlining of procurement processes to eliminate unnecessary delays and subjectivity while promoting efficiency and transparency.
Mr. Ibrahim was also a member of the NDIC Business Continuity Management Project Management team. He was instrumental to the facilitation of the Business Impact Analysis of the Procurement and Management Services and also Engineering and Technical Services Departments.
He was also involved in the development of the Business Continuity Management Framework for the Corporation. He is also currently a member of the Crisis Communication Team of the Corporation responsible for all internal and external communications in the event of a business disruption.
Ad-Hoc National Service
Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim received a special letter of commendation for his services as the Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Federal Government Pius Okigbo Panel for the Reorganization of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) between 1993 and 1994.
He also served briefly as a member of the Vision 2010 Secretariat in 1994, after a brief stint as the Special Assistant to the Interim Executive Secretary of the Petroleum (Special) Trust Fund in the same year.
Mr. Ibrahim is a keen sports man. His other hobbies include writing and farming. More than 300 of his articles have been published in national dailies and several online platforms.
