The End Is Bad: A Tale of Betrayal, Redemption, and New Beginnings in Kwara State

~~ Salma Ahmad

In the heart of Patigi, a serene town in Kwara State, there lived a man named Jiya. He was known for his kindness and strong moral values, which made him a respected figure in the community. Jiya had always dreamed of finding a partner who would share his values and build a future together.

One day, he met a woman named Zara from Ilorin, the state capital. At first, she seemed charming and captivating, and Jita was drawn to her vivacious spirit. However, as he got to know her better, he discovered a darker side to her life. Zara struggled with drug abuse and had a reputation for engaging in reckless sexual activities. Jiya was heartbroken; he had hoped for a love that would uplift him, not one that would lead him into chaos.

Despite his feelings for Zara, Jiya knew he could not marry her. He confided in his family and friends, who supported his decision, urging him to prioritize his future and well-being. Jiya's heart was heavy, but he was resolute. He could not risk his life and happiness for someone who was trapped in a cycle of addiction and self-destruction.

In the midst of this turmoil, Jiya found solace in his younger sister, Tolu. She was everything Zara was not—grounded, responsible, and full of life. Tolu had always admired Jiya and looked up to him, and as they spent more time together, Jiya began to see her in a new light. Their bond deepened, and soon, Jiya realized he had fallen in love with Tolu.

After much contemplation, Jiya made the bold decision to marry Tolu. The wedding was a joyous occasion, filled with laughter and love, a stark contrast to the chaos that had surrounded his relationship with Zara. The community celebrated their union, and Jiya felt a sense of peace he had longed for.

However, Zara was not ready to let go. Consumed by jealousy and anger, she could not accept Jiya's rejection. She began to spiral further into her addiction, and her behavior became increasingly erratic. One fateful night, driven by rage and desperation, Zara confronted Jiya and Tolu at their home.

What started as a heated argument quickly escalated into violence. Zara, in a fit of rage, attacked Jiya, and in the chaos, Tolu tried to intervene. The situation turned bloody, and in the struggle, Jiya was seriously injured. The once peaceful home was filled with screams and chaos, and the community was left in shock.

In the aftermath, Jiya was rushed to the hospital, where he fought for his life. Tolu, traumatized by the events, stayed by his side, praying for his recovery. The village rallied around them, offering support and love, but the scars of that night would linger forever.

Jiya eventually recovered, but the incident left a profound impact on him and Tolu. They realized that love could be both beautiful and dangerous, and that sometimes, the choices we make to protect ourselves can lead to unforeseen consequences.

Though they continued their lives together, the memory of that night served as a reminder of the fragility of happiness and the importance of making choices that align with one’s values. Jiya and Tolu learned to cherish their love even more, knowing that they had overcome a darkness that could have consumed them both.

5 years later, it was so sad. Zara poison Jiya and Tolu. Jiya survive and Tolu death, leaving 2 kids.

What a sad ending, Jiya is a mad man roaming around and Tolu is dead. What can we do as human?!
