Wife of the President Visits Niger State, Offers Support and Sympathy in Wake of Tragedies

The recent visit of the Wife of the President and First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to Niger State alongside the Wife of the Vice President, Hajiya Nana Kashim Shetima, was marked by a gesture of compassion and support for the people of the State. The purpose of their visit was to commiserate with the Farmer Governor and the residents of Niger State following the recent tanker explosion in Diko and other disasters that have affected the community.

During her visit, Senator Oluremi Tinubu made a generous donation of 100 million Naira at the Government House in Minna, Niger State. She expressed her desire to support the efforts of the State government in providing relief to the victims of the disaster and prayed that such tragedies would not occur again in the country. Senator Tinubu also commended Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for his dedicated work in the field of agriculture, acknowledging him as a true asset to his community and the nation.

In response, Farmer Governor Umaru Bago expressed his gratitude towards Senator Tinubu, referring to her as a mother figure and lauding her for her visit and financial contribution. He recognized the significance of her presence in strengthening the bond between the State and the federal government's Renewed Hope agenda. The Etsu Nupe and Chairman Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers also extended their thanks to Senator Tinubu for her ongoing support and urged her to continue to assist the State, particularly in the area of agriculture.

Furthermore, Senator Tinubu and her accompanying entourage had the opportunity to visit the residences of former Nigerian leaders Generals Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar during their time in Niger State. The former leaders expressed their appreciation for Senator Tinubu's dedication to supporting vulnerable groups such as orphans, women, youths, and the elderly.

Overall, Senator Oluremi Tinubu's visit to Niger State was a testament to her commitment to providing assistance and comfort to those in need. Her compassion and generosity serve as a shining example of the importance of unity and support in times of adversity.
